During the long South African anti-apartheid struggle the US government stubbornly maintained support for apartheid, just as it supports apartheid Israel today.
Here’s an excerpt: Israel wants to crush Hamas, of course, but its actions target all Palestinians. During the seven-day truce, according to the Mondoweiss Palestine Bureau, Israel imprisoned more Palestinians than were released during the hostage swap, and killed at least 20 Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. So in fact Israel is waging war against all Palestinians, in both Gaza and the West Bank.
